A soft snore wakes me up. I open my eyes, unsure for a moment where I am.

Then I remember. I look over and there’s Mark’s sleeping face, smooshed into his pillow, a few inches from mine.

I smile and rub the sleep from my eyes.

We’re entwined in his sheets, our legs tangled together, one of his hands tucked under my ribs.

My slight movement wakes him up. His blue eyes open and stare through me for a second before focusing on my face.

“Mmmm,” he says, his lips curling in a soft smile. “Morning.”

“Morning,” I reply, putting my hand in front of my mouth in case I have the dreaded Morning Breath.

“Time is it?” he says, then tries to stretch his arms and legs. “Ouch…my hand’s gone to sleep. Did you gain weight overnight or something?” I move to roll off of his hand, but he pulls me closer instead, wrapping both his arms around my head and tucking his chin over top of it. “Where do you think you’re going?”

He kisses my head, cuddling me into his big, warm body.

Twining my leg with his makes me wince, my movement telling me that you can’t fuck three times in one night without becoming a little sore in the downstairs “area”.

But it’s a feeling I really don’t mind having.

I smile, remembering.

“Last night was awesome,” he whispers. “I can’t remember the last time I came so often. Or so hard.”

“Me neither,” I say. “I’m raw.”

“Me too,” he chuckles.

“You sure know what you’re doing down there in the, er…Lady Bits Department.”

“Lady Bits Department!” He laughs and kisses my head again. “I don’t think I’ve heard that one before.”

We lay quietly together, enjoying the sleepy warmth.

“I’m so glad you enjoyed our impromptu date, Miss Sinclair. There’s plenty more where that came from. I can’t wait to….”

Suddenly, we hear the sharp metallic sound of a key in the lower shop door, followed by the creak of the door opening. Four sharp beeps follow, which I recognize as the sound of the alarm code being keyed in.

Mark and I look at each other quizzically.

“You expecting someone?” I say.

“I…not today. Not this soon. But it must be either Rob or Abraham.” He gets up and starts pulling his pants on. “No one else has a key.”

Not this soon? What’s that mean?

Now, voices drift up from below, followed by the sound of the big garage door trundling up.

“Sounds like whoever it is brought company,” I check my phone. “Geez! It’s only quarter to seven.”

“Hang tight. I’ll be right back,” he says, heading towards the stairs.

But a familiar female voice rings out. “Hey! Anyone home?”

Mark looks down at me and shrugs. “Um. You might want to get dressed too, sweetie.”

The voice continues: “Hello? Mark? Markus! Rise and shine!” A giggle follows, then the voice comes closer to the stairway. “Hey! We had to get up at stupid o’clock on a Sunday for this, so you better be up too!” Pause, then: “I hope you’ve got coffee on, Markus! It’s the least you can do at this ungodly hour!”

Yup.
